About this site
This site brings New York State's labor-market data together in one place — unemployment, jobs, unemployment-insurance claims, wages, and the State's long-term projections — so you can see how the economy is changing statewide, across the 10 labor-market regions, and for individual occupations.
Where the data comes from
Everything here is drawn from public data published by the New York State Department of Labor and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, via data.ny.gov. Every figure links back to its source dataset, and you can download the data or read the methodology for how each number is calculated.
How to read it
Every chart can also be viewed as a data table, and each figure shows the month it's current as of. Regional figures are aggregated from county-level data; see the methodology for the details and caveats.
Who built it
This is an independent project built by Concourse. It is not affiliated with, operated by, or endorsed by New York State or the Department of Labor. For official information, visit dol.ny.gov.
